Going for counselling is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of courage.
Whether you book online or contact us, once your first session is scheduled you will recieve an online intake form and counselling agreement. Please note that both of these forms need to be filled out and returned to your counsellor before your first session.
Making an appointment for counselling can be overwhelming so here’s a brief description of what to expect when you come in for your first appointment.
- The initial session will require about 10-15 minutes to review the intake form.
- We will discuss confidentiality and limitations of confidentiality.
- Your counsellor will take some time to understand what brings you in for counselling, focus on your needs, tailor goals, provide tools, and resources to meet your needs.
- Determine if the counsellor is a good fit for you as a client.
Its important to our counselling team that you experience a safe and welcoming environment.
